Mayor's office issues proclamation honoring the local Salvation Army
The Salvation Army held a special volunteer appreciation luncheon last month in conjunction with launching its celebration of 100 years of service to the local community.
But May 13 had an even more special significance to the local nonprofit organization as Rocky Mount Councilman Tom Harris, who also serves as the city’s mayor pro tempore, was on hand to present a mounted proclamation signed by Mayor Sandy Roberson honoring The Salvation Army for its years of service in the Twin Counties.
