Future Slim Chickens being built off North Winstead
A Southern-based fast-casual restaurant chain known for featuring chicken tenders-based meals is going to have a location in the busy northwestern part of Rocky Mount.
A future Slim Chickens is being built at the northwest corner of North Winstead Avenue and English Road and just north of the U.S. 64 interchange for North Winstead.
Rocky Mount Mayor Sandy Roberson said last week that he has been watching the future location, that he is excited and that he saw a Slim Chickens while traveling in the state.
“It’ll be a good thing for us,” Roberson said.
And Roberson said of the future Slim Chickens, “It’s a great location.”
