Council discusses proposed downtown incentive program
The City Council and Mayor Sandy Roberson recently heard from Downtown Development Manager Kevin Harris about a proposed Downtown Major Investment Incentive program.
The purpose of the program would be economic development-related and, specifically, would encourage reinvestment in the development or rehabilitation of buildings in the downtown core area and an outwardly expanded downtown transitional area — but with the downtown core being the priority.
